This little known fact can be used to win beers in the pub (in places that follow daylight saving time). April is the second shortest month of the year. (Because of the DST adjustment it is 29 days 23 hours long.) October is the longest for the inverse reason.

Hair on your head grows at the same rate- it's the rate at which it falls out that determines your length of hair. So someone who says that their hair doesn't grow very fast is lying.

I find that very interesting! I had thought that the rate at which my hair was growing had slowed, but it would seem not. I like having long hair, my aim is to have it past my butt.

As a defense mechanism, the Texas Horned Lizard (A very cute spikey creature also known as a "horny toad" due to its squat shape) can squirt up to 10% of its blood from its eyes!
