I actually "knew" that (deeply suspected anyway). I remember hearing something like that when I was there on a school trip in 1985. It was my first time to drink legally in bars so I my memory was fuzzy (and tinged with Baily's Irish Creme).

That reminds me. Something I've never understood is when people say "London is not in London," or words to that effect. What does that mean?

So, who was it that first started calling football "soccer"? Posh Brits.

The City of London is not what we generally think of as London. It is the "square mile" (ish) where the banks are centred. As a result there are relatively few people living there, just over 7,000.

The smallest city in the United Kingdom is St. Davids in Wales. With a population of approx. 2000 it's smaller than the village where I live. It's also a 'young' city, receiving its charter of incorporation in 1994. (Hubby's sure it's been a city for longer than that, but that's just because its cathedral goes back to the middle-ages.

I guess that the rest of London is Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield, etc, otherwise known as Greater London which is a county I believe.
This is in danger of becoming useful.

The national electrical power grid in the U.S. is divided into three sectors: East, West and Texas.
As a Texan, I approve.

Since pi is an approximation, I'm standing by it. cuZ 1'm 1337 1ik3 7ha7.
Ok, maybe not so much. That hurt my eyes to even try to type that way.

We normally use an aproximation of pi (two or six digits)
but pi itself is not an approximation
