I read this years ago on a packet of crisps apparently the word in the english language with most different meanings (ie unrelated entries in a dictionary) is SET

The entry for 'set' in the full-size Oxford English Dictionary is so long that it has as many words as the average novel. I can't remember exactly, but a novel typically has 50,000-80,000 words. That's a lot to devote to a word that "everybody" knows the meaning(s) of.

In 1911, when the Mona Lisa was stolen from the Louvre, the police took in Picasso's friend, the poet Guillaume Apollinaire. Apollinaire fingered Picasso as a suspect, so the police hauled him in for questioning. Both were later released.

Sid Vicious was (staged)named after Johnny Rotten's pet hamster, Sid. The hamster tended to bite people, hence was "vicious". Sid the hamster was named after Pink Floyd's Syd Barrett.
