Oh, I saw Boris on the BBCs election coverage last night. He said "There will be a Conservitize government . . . but I'm not going to tell you when."

Now that Michael Howard has announced his intention to stand down as Conservative leader (Michael Howard? They'd be as well with Frankie Howerd...), surely Boris will have no better opportunity. Boris for PM in 2009!

as for Frankie Howard being a better leader than Michael Howard some might see him being dead as a disadvantage but I'm not sure it would be

Yes, poor old Mr Johnson. Now he and Boris wont be able to play squash in the private Westminster court.

At the moment I'm watching Question Time on BBC1, and Boris Johnson is a guest. If he looks like that - this time of day, live on tv, what on earth does he look like when he gets out of bed?

Ooh, someone in the audience asked him if he was going to run for the leadership of the Tory Party.
He looked embarrased.
DD asked him to answer.
He said "There isn't a ring to toss my hat into, and anyway I don't own a hat"
DD said "But there will be a ring in December, what about it then"? and the audience cheered!
BJ flustered and and the camera cut to Harriet Harmon and she had a face like thunder.

so he didn't rule out running
he'd be much the most amusing they could pick and he couldn't be worse than John Redwood or some of the other people they're talking about

For the song we could just use the Vote Beeblebrox song and just change a few words:
Boris Johnson...he's got the blondest hair of any canditate
He's got the coolest hat...
...and he's not stupid oh no
No way is his brain impaired
It's just not fair...he's smarter than you!!!
