Anybody else stupidly excited about "Return of the King"?
Cat-Eyes: No..... why.... ? Posted Dec 20, 2003
You think you have it tough, it's not even released here till Boxing Day!! And then I go away to the Marathon ON Boxing Day and then I'm home for 3 days, then away again for 12 to the Jamboree. We are SOOOOO totally seeing it in the 3days of sleeping I have!!!
Why couldn't it have been released earlier here??

Breathe deeply, azahar.
I checked with the local huge multiplex thing, and they're showing it in original round here "sometime in January". Which means from 1st Jan I have to call every day and book tickets even without a babysitter, in case they sell out.
But... I'm hearing more and more about this, and (even dispite the lack of Saruman ) I'm that I can't see it yet.
*consoles self with TTT DVD*

The effects were good but I'm just getting a wee bit tired of camp Oirsish hobbits, innuendos about doing things to dwarves in a balistic trajectory kind of way and a comedy stunt elf with ridiculous powers of stating the blatantly obvious.
Orlando Bloom for Arthur Dent anybody?
Let's see how Jackson copes with the Hobbit!

I liked it
Hopefully Saruman will be in the extended DVD, but aside form him not being in it, I didn't see any problems that I couldn't understand why they didn't put in it.
It was good! the guy who played (grrr, what's his name? Boromir and Faramir's dad) was really good.

wheeeeeeeeeee!
Saw it.
2 weeks ago, and still high from the buzz. There were only 9 people in the cinema watching it in English, and 7 of them laughed at me when I screamed during a particularly scary bit.

everyone thinks I'm funny!
the best bit was, because there were so few of us, we were pretty spread out. I had about the best seat, 3/4 of the way up right in the middle of the row. Eye-level with boy (ok, in my dreams)
But when Pippin did his thing, and I started to snivel, the guy nearest me reached back over 2 rows to give me a tissue.
When we left we all stood around chatting, and they were all saying "wow, you're really into that"
But they were all German and had seen it at least 3 times (on had seen it about 15 times) so there were no surprises for them.
But now... I'm stupidly excited about seeing it again, hopefully, in the UK in February. I hope it's still on.

Pippin was so good in that bit! I was crying buckets, practically all the way through the film!

it was the Denethor/Faramir (who I don't like) thing that sort of started me, then Pippin's singing coupled with what Peter Jackson did to Denethor
It was deffo a 3 kleenex moment

Mmm, he's a brd. I didn't cry in the movie... mind you i never cry in movies. Mum bawled when she saw Titanic like the first 7 times. I saw it and I was like "Mmmm, that was ok" and I was like 8 at the time...
