Ah yes, the Evel Knievel stunt bike. Do you remember also there was the rocket bike also which bascially had bigger exhausts that lit up with little red lights in them.
I think we broke ours (or was it a mates - I recall my parents not buying any of those things for us either) firing it down the stairs as a really *massive* jump.
Strangely much like the real EK stunts it was
Also, there was the Pink Panther car -VROOMMMMMM!

Sorry, can't reply properly, lost in a nostalgic haze. I might be back sometime in November...
(Evel Knievel, stairs, breakage...)

>>Chocolate Buttons with hundreds and thousands!<<
You can still get those lil not loose in a jar like they used to be, (and not IMO quite as nice chocolate) in a lilac packet called Jazzles, made by Hánnah's (I'm holding an empty packet right now) - with a choice of white or milk chocolate, the same company also make packets of white mice, not tried them *yet*.
I loved Cresta, though I can't remember the flavours
Anyone remember coconut tobacco, so non politically correct nowadays.

you youngsters! Fruit Salad & Black Jacks for 8 a penny - we used to get four of each...
Birds toffee in a huge slab - we used to buy one on our fortnightly trip to "the village" from school, and chew on them during Starsky & Hutch (or, me and my mate Jessica sat in the dorm, with an illegal power cable, and listened to Supertramp - really rad singing along to Bloody Well Right, Springsteen and Bread (oh, and did you all notice, now, for the first time, The Sound of Bread is available on CD)
Milk Bottle sweets
cans of pop where the ring pull came off (and we collected them for Blue Peter - or made projectile weapons out of them)
cans of pop where you had to open them with those weird things - you had to puncture two triangular holes...
what happened to my yoof?

Nah, I reckon that was just the North/South divide. This was just after decimalisation...

they could have been 4 for 1d, but when I went back to England you all waited until I'd got my head round your pounds, shillings and pence (after just having got my head round Marks & Pfennigs) when you went decimal.
And I deffo remember, 4 fruit salads for 1/2 np (as they were called for a while) and getting 4 of each for a penny and sharing them with my little bro.
Yes, gone but not forgotten: the 1/2 pence piece

I remember when new, exciting Lego was red roof tiles.
We were recently at Legoland and the Gruesomes were in the shop ooh-ing and aah-ing over sparkly, see through girly stuff, and me and were making roofs...
