My parents live near Six Mile Bottom which I'm amazed no one has mentioned yet.
I'm a bit sceptical about some of these names. Especially the ones supposed to be in foreign parts .... Captain Pugwash syndrome, I suspect. ( http://www.snopes.com/radiotv/tv/pugwash.htm )

I like the one I tore two ligaments in, Moorooduc in Victoria, Australia. For some reason only us scouts seemed to pick up the anmals mentioned, the leaders all thought it was a perfectly normal name. Moo-roo-duc. Just cause I'm bored I feel like explaining this, "Moo" as in a cow, "roo" as in a kangaroo and "duc" as in a duck.
There were some others I knew, but i can't remember them now.

In denmark, there is a town which translates as 'Sperm-buttock' (Sædballe). We also have a 'Pissing-brook' (Pisseåen), an 'Intestine' (Tarm), a 'Male Member' (Lem) and a 'Gay-town' (Bøsserup). Guess all the good names were taken...
Finally, some Danes can say that they really live in the Country-side, since we have a town by that name (Landet).

There's a road in Harrogate called Dragon View. Ace.
Also a village in Buckinghamshire called Stone. Presumably because there's nothing more interesting to say about it.
(Would it be childish of me to mention Quimper in France?)

I can't believe no-one's mentioned Whetwang in east yorkshire. And going back to a posting from last week, I'm from Chorlton-cum-Hardy, and believe me, it's not funny.
