You could do both of those without a mobile phone though.

Up until recently I had 3 Nokia 3310s (what? I like them, OK!)
About a month ago swapped one for a lovely shiny silver Samsung one that takes photos ( with many happy hours spent at Lux GSM trying to get my UK sim card to work....Not!
(Ok, 1 is my UK service, the 2nd my Lux one, and the 3rd is my son's. But I pay the bills, ergo it's mine)

Is it worse to have some sort of phone which people think is inferior or an inferior ringtone? Or is the weirdest thing of all to be a programmer of ringtones without ever having owned or played with a programmable mobile phone?
These might be the keypresses for that Montague and Capulet theme by the way (assuming defaults of lowest octave and crotchet value and transposing key up one semitone):
(1)8 48 (5)9# 18* (4)9 18 (5)9#** 48 (1) 48 (5)9# 18* 49 0 (1)9 088 2# (5)9 18* (2)9# 18 (5)9** 28# (1)9 28# (5)9 18* 2999#
tempo: 96

You know your phone is inferiour when you constantly spend money buying a new one just to be up to date It is a phone, nokier? or something, a year or two old, it works, can make phone calls on it... Which forfills all I need to do on it therefore Guess I'm just not trendy enough to be bothered weather my phone has a built in coffee machine/camera/sonic screwdriver

I've got the fugue from the end of Walton's 'The Twelve' - it works really well, very jolly. Bit of a fiddle to input though, I think.
