Now that's a difficult one, and not one I'm going to answer lightly.
Ale. Mostly because both ale and spirits cover a vast range of things, and the only spirits I've ever had much experience with are vodka and gin. I've occasionally had schnapps and whisky and wouldn't mind giving absinthe a go, but for the timebeing I'll have to say
