If you mean LCD/LED or analogue, then 'tick tock' every time. Although my alarm clock radio is LED, but I've not seen an analogue one of those.
If you mean quartz or wind-up, then 'tick tock' again. You don't have to keep shelling out on batteries and they can be repaired if they go wrong.
Why didn't I just say 'tick tock' and have done with it?
