Do fictional characters count as hating someone?

*Vote Maggie*

(And no, I don't mean the old dragon)

Sigourney Weaver.

Fairly inoffensive and intelligent for an actress. Wonder what she'd be like accepting an oscar?

Aaargh! Sigourney??? No no no no. Her, Winona Ryder and Holly Hunter - who can tell them apart???

The only thing I can even watch SW in is Galaxy Quest - and only then because it takes the p*ss!

sinister pre-empted me. I don't like Sigourney Weaver for the terrible and shameful reason that, in a world full of attractive film-stars, she is a not-at-all-attractive film star.
One day I will get around to reading Philip Pullman's books. Until then, the only thing I have to go on is the hype an I _don't_ like hype.

By the way, who volunteers to trawl through the backlog and forma proper list?

Okay. There's no rush.

Neil Gaiman I can fully agree with.

I don't see much of Tori recently, but she first appeared at a time when it seemed rare to find people in the pop arena who were genuinely skilled with an instrument. Of course, it still is, but I've since defected onto indie and rock preferences, where actual musical ability is still more important than looking good at premieres (in my opinion). You'll not find any complaints from me about Tori Amos.

Sorry, not a Tori fan. She seems pretentious. A weaker Kate Bush.

I suppose that's the difference. I'm just a bit too young to remember Kate Bush.

Well you can drop Ozzy Osbourne, on account of his and his family's excuse for entertainment. Before that, it would have been smiley - ok.
I think we can safelt drop Zak the Duck and Dewey.
Isn't Peter Sallis in Last of the Summer Wine? If he is, you can drop him too.
I think that if Maggie Simpson counts, Gromett has to count as well, so he's in so far.
