If anyone wants to see a really old page, try this:
A82559?skin=classic
It's not quite as it was pre-BBC, but it's close. Just imagine it without the BBCi toolbar and disclaimer.

There are quite a few old photos around.
This one's nice in a sad sort of way: <./>B26848</.>
I'm hoping someone can explain this one though: <./>B356</.>

I think those particular ones were near to other ones I found in the early pages of the Guide. I tend to forget which ones came from where though as I never made a note. I started looking around more when I noticed some pictures on entries which weren't in the official Picture Gallery pages. The dev server has some outdated versions of pages too. Then I started to keep a list and got serious about finding the missing blobs...
So is that other person an h2g2 legend like DNA?

It's Yoz - if not an h2g2 legend (although as one of the original programming team he definitely qualifies) then certainly an internet legend. Practically everyone who works in the internet in the UK either knows him or knows someone who knows him.

He seems to be a bit after my time really.
That picture is only one of a set and by no means the most embarrassing one...

Let's not forget the original 'Field Researchers'
U1000 - Amelia
U2000 - Toobitz
U3000 - Fizz
U4000 - Jack Shannon
U5000 - Sideswipe
U6000 - Leopold
Any chance of the old animations coming back Jim?
