Thought for the day

I'm having one of my 'I really should get out more and get some real problems' days.
But I was wondering, is there any reason for a bed being on legs other than it being the norm? I've slept on the floor a couple of times recently and can't see any disadvantages. There are more disadvantages to sleeping on a 'legged bed' because it's more expensive surely?
And another thing's been bugging me. Are there any male synchronised swimmers?

With a legged bed, when you swing your legs out, you're already sitting up, which is half the battle to actually getting out of bed!
Having to get up all the way from the floor every morning wouldn't be good... I...just....can't....doit cap'n....I havne....got....the pooer!

Sleeping up off the floor was probably a good thing in the days before central heating and fitted carpets. I wonder if Laurence Llewellyn-Boring knows the answer?
Male synchronised swimmers? Probably only in California..........unless, of course, anyone else knows better.
(Apologies to Laurence, Californians and male synchronised swimmers if I've offended you)

(work is far too boring to compete with finding out about male synchonised swimming!)

Suppose he could be a sort of 'Man of the Match' thing?
Interesting site Q. Looked like they were enjoying themselves. I admire their skills - find it difficult enough to swim from one end of the pool to the other myself.
Do you think they make the guys wear that indestructable lipstick too?
