What's WRONG with The FR*NCH
sprout Posted Feb 19, 2003
The basic point being:
1) You don't want to believe everything you read on the Internet.
2) You could accumulate a dossier like this on any country of a similar size, so what does it prove? We live in a world dominated by self-interest, and where ethics take a back seat? I knew that already.
If you want a more interesting challenge, try and accumulate a dossier that proves that a country of a similar size (in fact make that any country, to make it easier) is signficantly better than France in its moral, ethical, social and environmental approach.

"well how about just the main point whisky, that in 1995, the fr*nch were still setting off nukes on muroroa, despite the protests of the neighbouring islands?"...
...and coming from someone who has chosen to live in the USofA, while we read in todays newspaper that the US wants to resume nuclear testing, your point is?

whisky...i said it was an interesting account, anyone who wants to act as a human shield is by definition a nutter.
sprout...this may come as some surprise to you, but it is not MY intention to personally present a cuddly balanced viewpoint on a nation who i view as being largely responsible for a lot of the worlds major problems.

Fr*nce has long been suspected of allowing ETA to maintain bases in the South West from which they can strike at targets in Spain.

Ah yes, bull fighting. Well known French tradition. Particularly in the north.
