I used to love Metal Mickey. He used to eat something called Atomic Thunderbusters and my local shop used to sell sherbet filled sweets by the same name. You don't see them anymore either.

That's cos he only had one act - pull a rubber face, stick a green light under the chin and look like an alien that speaks with a Lancashire accent. Any wonder you don't see him as much these days?
More things...
Patterned axminster carpets - you know the sort that look like hotel carpets. Carpets are making a comeback apparently - people have realised how cold a laminate floor can be first thing in the morning. 80% of all carpet sold however is plain solid colour.
Kids sailing boats in the park. Or making paper boats and floating them off down rivers...

When he had a team of about 15 writers for his gags he was doing quite well (the likes of Barry Cryer, Jasper Carrot, Steve Dennis...)

White town had a number one in January 1997 titled 'Your Woman'. He was a guy called Jyoti Mishri (?) IIRR and made the song in his bedroom on a four track. He was signed up by Madonna.

When I recently bought a new carpet for my kids room they were predominately plain coloured. I think our branch of John Lewis do patterned carpets.
I prefer carpets.
