Ta, Lady
I haven't seen mention of those stalwart cartoons of the late 70's and eighties yet ....
G-Force - Battle of the Planets
He-Man - Masters of the Universe
Thundercats
All supplanted by the Power Rangers and their continual recycling of the same story in a different package. Boring.
I remember liking G-Force, but I must have been too old for the rest.
I suppose one good thing did come out of that kind of show though, Biker Mice from Mars

I remember liking G-Force too, but can't really remember what it was about. Didn't they all have bird costumes or something *memory failing*

Yep, that's them. Different colours with capes shaped like wings.

What was that one with the noghts and crosses at the end - it had some really ugly puppets in it, one of which really gave me the willies....

Defenders of the earth
Captain Planet (he's a hero)
What was the cartoon with all the hologram staffs and stuff where they could all turn into animals.
Going back a bit further...Poddington Peas

The one with the really ugly puppets is Pipkins - ghastly. Can't remember O's & X's though.

I did some investigation - it was Terrahawks. I think the one that gave me the willies was Sram.

I think this was only on at lunchtimes, so I didn't see it very often.

I remember Captain Planet being incredibly crap. I'll throw these into the mix see if anyone remembers...
She-Ra
Centurions
Dogtag'nan and the 3 Muskehounds
Around the world with Willy Fog
Pole Position
StarCom
Dino Riders
Brave Starr
and the one mentioned above with the holograms and that, I'm sure it had "illusion" somewhere in the title.

Space 1999 - cool show.
I'm starting to form the view that there is a trend here.
Most people seem to be recalling shows from the time when they were 8 up to when they were 13 and seem to be identifying the new shows from that period as being the coolest around.
What do you reckon?

Captain planet was rubbish. I was given an action man style plane thing for xmas from a relative once. It did not have the bullets for the spring loaded gun bits, so I wrote to the company. They didnt make the plane any more so they offloaded a load of captain planet stuff onto me. B*stards.
Does anyone remember the program on eraly sunday mornings about the human body, with all the cells and antibodies etc having personalities and little bodies, like the police antibodies who eat disease, and the flying ones who released stuff to kill it?

I do. I used to love that.
And in reference to Madent's comment, I'm not sure.
Personally I preferred He-Man to Thundercats and I was only very young when I saw Danger Mouse and I still think that rocks - even now. I think it's more of what you identify with the most, sticks in your mind.

I was 13 when Bucky O Hare (he's goes where no ordinary rabbit would dare) came out and I still loved it...although I was still going through my slight turtles phase.
It's not my fault that some of my friends were younger than me they made me watch it
