Blag means something totally different where I live, it's sort of like 'bluff' - if you blag your way in somewhere, you don't have a right to be there but you get in by fast talking

its still annoying that a word that was originally used to describe robbing or burglary has been adopted like that.

Blag basically means to get for free.

Blag in my area (east midlands) Is to get something for free not by necessarily fast talking.

Its still a bit daft, as is words like Bling Bling.

So are Dewberry, Whatsit, Thingy and Doofer but we still use em when we can't think of a word we're after.

What about dooflop?

Another petty hate, not being able to spend time with the one you love.

I aint never heard of a dooflop sounds like an old male firneds of mine with a problem lol

I hate all those rubbish business terms you know people are just using to try and sound important. They're only good for high scrabble scores and meeting bingo.

Dooflop's a great word! Words such as "Thingie" and "Doofer" aren't really a problem but I absolutely despise the kind of language known by its users as "street talk". It's so stereotypical and completely obliterates imagination and individuality in the ways people speak!

- People who assume I watch soap operas and launch into a conversation about the characters.
- Referring to soap operas as "Easties" or "Corrie".

I think Squirlys the best word but people never know what i'm talking about lol I dunno about Street talk but what about Chat Talk
