And as for the Earworm ....As usual, the video is not available in Germany. I'm not bothering with any more youtube links. But that discussion has been held elsewhere.

If my feet are sore, which is quite a bit, yes, I will remove my shoes (and keep 'em on my lap!). The bus journey to Kraków is only an hour but it's comfier if you take your shoes off!

PH: that some books aren't on Kindle yet. Cue hunting for PDFs of 'em, which will cost a pound to email rather than pay a fiver through Amazon and god knows what the shipping price is...

PH 2: when you want to write, but can't. Add to that when your characters/muses won't speak a word. Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh.

PH 3: art essays. This thing ain't gonna be easy to write. smiley - smiley

I do, at the earliest opportunity, if I'm going to be seated for 20 or more minutes.

TC - when a youtube video is blocked, I rush to the nearest shop and buy a CD containing the song.

Note for GEMA: the above is not true. I was being sarcastic. No-one does that.

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am...

"PH 2: when you want to write, but can't. Add to that when your characters/muses won't speak a word. Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh."

This. I find it especially frustrating when trying to write a non-linear scenario for a tabletop roleplay game. I have the characters, I have the initial plot hook, I have what the initial plot hook is acually a cover for, but do I have any satisfactory ways of making it all work together? Nooooo...

Mr D, it's the same only I don't do roleplaying. I've settled for working out who the hell Carlotta is, what she's doing here and where she fits in if it all. I have plenty of other characters (names, really, at the moment) that I may have to cut... Joe Berlinger/Bruce Sinofsky- they were right wheen they said "don't get too attached, you may have to slay 'em."

Mr. X ---> "Be excellent to each other. And party on, dudes!"

When you know a movie is totally awesome in every way, but you can't get other people to understand its genius or to get excited about it. Also, seeing an otherwise great movie but having to spend twenty minutes afterward explaining the plotline to your friends when it really *isn't that complicated!*

The clothesline snapped. The tumble dryer broke. Clothes now spread out on the hedge and I see rain clouds gathering. Is somebody trying to tell me something?

Why oh why do programmes ask if you want to update when you open them? If I open my browser, I want to see something right NOW, and don't want to have to start clicking things and installing things, making decisions, re-booting. Why can't they ask it when you're closing the window?

At least some programmes leave you the choice to install the updates the next time you open then smiley - biggrin

Pastey

The really annoying part is when they start installing the updates when you shut your computer down. Windows7 is *seriously* bad for this. I'm often using a laptop, when I shut it down it's because I'm going somewhere else, and taking it with me. I don't want to click on the shut down, and then wait ten minutes while it installs its updates. I'd like a choice like you used to have with XP, install and shutdown, or just shutdown. Sometimes you don't have the time to sit and wait. We're becoming more mobile with our computing, it'd be nice if the software kept up.

I agree with you Pastey that is one of the most annoying things about windows 7, hey guys lets take away a feature people might use because they might not be updating there pc with all our "security" rubbish that tends to just clog up space and make your computer worse

You CAN just shut down y’know. the power button isn't for shutting down laone, it’s for installing stuff and then shutting down. try the little arrow on the bottom of the menu and then the bottom option, it says “shut down” on windows vista. Or you could just install and close the laptop and have a cup of tea when you get to your destination and wait for it to do its thing...

PH: iTunes updates. Why are you taking so long?

Waiting for an agonisingly slow connection to let me do something I'm working on. I'd kind of like to have it done this evening, so I'll need to stop multitasking with hootoo. smiley - yikes
