Major loves, not petty hates
Two things there are that are done well here:
Coffee. Oh yes.
Food. (I've not seen a really formal place yet).
Oh and wine too.
Pit,
Your flight is booked. 2010 June 11 20:45 NZ time. Don't be late. Bring money. Can you cook?

No money, so I can´t make it on time. PH of the day - Kiwis who don´t know my home county´s national dish...PICKERT!

Oh yes, that reminds me of my PH: the lack of flights from Belfast to anywhere in Germany except Munich. I have to go down to Dublin to fly home for a visit.

Belfast to Dublin in order to get to Bremen via Munich? OK, you are nice enough a person to call that a *petty* hate.

No, from Dublin I can get to Duesseldorf* or Berlin and take a train from there.
*Another two petty hates there. Duesseldorf, and funny foreign keyboards with half the letters missing!

Sorry, Pit. You can buy me a meal some other time.
I've not noticed a Westphalian restaurant, but I'll find one somewhere!
PHOD: google 'Restaurants Serving Pickert' - the first two (sensible) ones from wikispitedia:
Types of Restaurant - and, and
List of Accompaniments with French Fries
There, I bet that made you feel better.

Mal: I always go down and fly from Dublin. If you don't choose to live in the wastelands, it can be quite convenient!

Thanks, Anna. But I can't install anything on the work computers, and have a proper keyboard (äöüß!) on my laptop.

This morning I’ve been awoken again by the local Magpies, they sit on the neighbours aerial and chunter away to each other with total disregard to the fact its Saturday morning and its quality lie in time

No, swl, Passing is in Bavaria... nowhere near Düsseldorf!
*sticks tongue out at Mala a she is passing*
Btw, Mala - I hate to point it out that if you are passing me, from Düsseldorf on the way home... you're going the wrong way...

Pit - ( Carpe Diem - Stay in Bed ) Posted Jun 12, 2010
And why does nobody look at me when passing or coming from Passing?
OK, I ought to teach even my friends that "Hannover" isn´t spelled "Hangover".

Listening to soccerball analyst who decide that player making blatantly obvious mistake must feel awful. Must need support and encouragement. That he'll feel destroyed for the rest of the tournament by the mistake. ...
