people who slate other people off for how they look as how shallow!

AlexoOo Posted Jun 26, 2003
That is shallow, but then no thin woman has ever tried to hug me, maybe it is because I ain't so slimline myself?

I hate everything in a petty way, could anything be more perfect?
Like going through a door, and your sleeve catches on the handle.
Or opening a cupboard and things just fall on you.
Or loud buzzy flies in your bedroom at night
Or piles of credit card offers on your doormat
Or when your really p**ssed off and a total stranger is slightly rude in some way, but you you feel like killing them.
People who get in the left hand lane at roundabouts and then go all the way round the Motherf*(**r and go right!
ERRR YEAH AND CAFFIENE FREE COFFEE, WHAT'S THE POINT OF THAT?

People who say 'You're fading away!' or 'You aren't *still* losing weight are you? Don't get anorexic on us!' Both when you're slimming and when you've slimmed. I hoped it was going to stop when I did.
Wrongo.
I'm running out of polite responses and I'm soon going to start getting snappy at people about this. I have ing finished slimming! I am *NOT* losing any more ing weight! I have a healthy Body Mass Index and my blood pressure and cholesterol levels are ing normal and I have no intention of getting any ing slimmer! Let me savour my achievement for 's sake!
On the other hand, people who say (in highly reproachful tones) 'Oh, don't put it all back on again.' as though hearing this once a fortnight is all thats stopping me from ballooning overnight back to the size 26 I used to be. Again - I'm running out of polite responses to this. Give me some ing credit! I've stayed like this for over six months now. I *know* it's not the rest of my life, but I haven't gone up to the next size or anything!
Come on - I've spent eighteen months of my life to achieve this - I'm dead chuffed about it. Why can't people just let me be smug for a bit, huh?
Oh - and stupid teenage idiots who don't seem to mind displaying to all around them just what ill-educated, intellectually stunted oiks they are because they think it's cool to:
Wear ridiculously outsize jeans that look like they're about to fall down and show off their Bob the Builder underpants.
Fail dismally and continually to pull off grinds against concrete steps on their skateboards that would have been singularly unimpressive even if they didn't keep on falling off.
Say 'f***' all the time.
Tony Hawk may get paid oodles of dosh - but at least he can stay upright on his skateboard for more than three seconds when he does tricks!
Oh - and Boy Racers. Don't they realise that pretty much everybody else in the entire universe thinks they are incredibly sad berks? Apparently not.
Haaaaah. That feels a lot better. Glad I found this thread - a great stress reliever.

Great for the weight (loss). I am a large size but two years ago I was two sizes bigger than this. I lost that weight (only 2 stone) and have kept it off for 2 years. But I heard all those comments you mention (including the anorexic ones - at 15 stone! Anorexic! Come off it!). I agree, they are my biggest petty hate
I say, well done, Megapuppy. Hold your head up and ignore the lot of them!!
Take care,

So is it fat women hugging you or hugging in general?Could it be that you would love to be hugged by a skinny woman for a change?
Well as least if THIS fat woman hugs you, you'll know you been hugged.
I just wish I got more hugs from anyone.I could do with a few right now.
Incog.

Being hugged for no reason is a bit irritating whenever it happens, and whoever does it.
This girl I used to work with hugged me on a daily basis, I found this embarrasing and irritating but shouting "LEAVE ME ALONE!" didn't seem appropriate.
(Being claustrophic doesn't hwelp either)

For some reason, I get really annoyed when people hold things right up to my face...especially if they do it quickly. It really just makes me want to slap them...??

azahar Posted Jul 1, 2003
ummm . . . why would people want to hold things right up to your face, and quickly? Any particular sorts of things? I don't believe I've ever had this happen to me.
Someone mentioned buzzing flies in bedroom earlier. Mosquitos in befdroom at night are MUCH worse.

Anything in general, really...and people seem to do it to me all the time..
"Hey, look at my new pen" (hold pen straight up to face)
"Hey, do you think this bread is mouldy?" (hold mouldy bread right up to face)
"Hey, it's your shot" (hold pool cue right up to face)
Maybe it's just me ?
..well, then it would definitely count as petty, wouldn't it ?

Invasion of personal space bothers some people more than others. I was on the tube last week and a fella socked me in the mouth with his bag as he grabbed a handrail. I was too shocked to even swear at him!
That was annoying, but I don't use the tube often and am only mildly annoyed by the sweaty squash when I do. Its a zen thing
But sleeves caught on door handles is very annoying.
And prickly overgrown bushes.
And I almost hate to say it here *ducks* but one of my petty pet hates is obsession with size/appetite/food. It just seems to waste so much time and energy of some women I know. Everybody is great and looks great when they are happy, to lose weight you need to eat less and do more and there are *much* more interesting and exciting things to life to consider than your silhouette.
So there and

My petty hate is people who generalise! Some people have to lose weight for medical reasons i.e. lose 6 stone or your heart is going to give out with the strain very soon now. Funnily enough, some of us don't actually want to let that happen. So you attend to your silhouette, Megapuppy will attend to hers, and I will attend to mine!
Thank you.
