Assessments for this, that and everything. Niks, thank you, they’re almost over (yay!) but I’ll need it! Yes, I’d love to emigrate to America or somewhere. Berkeley would be my place of choice. (Yes, I'm a punk, so what?)
And I’d love to go to Download seeing as Apocalyptica are playing but seeing as I have a mild walking/balance problem, then I don't feckin’ think so… one mile doesn't agree with me, never mind three!

I've seen apocalytica and while I like what they do, I cant sit through a whole album/set again. Once was enough.
Dave, I know... I remember when people were allowed to actually have fire and could be trusted with them for the most part too!
I want real camping, cooking on an open fire, parking by tents and my own damn beer in the arena!!! I can understand them not wanting glass on site, that's fine by me. The bottle fights are bad enough with plastic.
*sigh*
Kids today just dont know what it was like, back in those halcyon days... Poor sods!

Recording English notes onto my iPod. It’s boring, and I hate the sound of my voice. Given that there’s only a week til my exam I have no idea if this will work but I hope something sticks in my mind; also fingers crossed the questions don’t suck (they may well do). The whole thing sucks as I have a bad cold and can’t really speak properly at the moment…

Sky. (Again).
They hyped the final series of Battlestar Galactica to the extent that Sky's *own* logo makes a cylon noise - but then, for no reason, they don't show it this week.
Of course I know nothing about this until I've sat down in anticipation with a glass of , only to find some teenage drama thing called 'Lost' on instead

People that hang up in the midst of a conversation. I want to wring his neck.

People who ring you then hang up (happens a lot at work) or who let you ring for ages then eventually pick up and put the phone straight down (again, happens a lot at work).
It's plain rude! If you're too busy, let it ring, I wont take offense then!
If you're calling someone and it's not who you want or who you were expecting, EXPLAIN this to them, aplogise then disconnect. Waiting while a person politely answers the phone and introduces themselves then just putting the phone down (or halfway through!) is again, just plain RUDE!

Moral relativism.
Saw this Ch 4 'documentary' about a family of extremely hairy people in Mexico the other night. This family made a living by exhibiting their kids, one as young as 18 months, as a circus freak show. The presenter exuded just the right amount of mild disgust and righteous indignation as you would expect for the expected standard of moral behaviour in the UK.
But the presenter (and Ch 4) was also making a living from exploiting these poor malformed people, this time on national television. So a circus freak show is unacceptable, but a televised freak show is fine providing it is done in a sensitive manner? It's about bloody time people set their morals by actually thinking about stuff, rather than simply following whatever happens to be PC at the time.

I watch Sex and the City. I even own a set box and went to watch the movie. I don't think I'm needy or fearful, but who am I to judge?
Different people like different things. Accept it and move on.

Sex and the city? 'Three wh and their mom' as the family guy quote goes...
And I dont mind watching it on occasion (still cry over Sam cutting her hair off and her bloke, the good looking guy, cutting his off at the same time..)

Sho - employed again! Posted Jun 5, 2008
I go to the gym during my lunchbreak. 30 minutes on the treadmill, the rowing machine or more often the cross trainer.
There are 5 rowing machines and they are usually all free. No problem. Of the treadmills and cross-trainers there are 3 of each which are spiffy and new with all sorts of programmes and - more important for me - a counter of how much time you have left to go.
Petty hate: getting to the machines and someone is on the middle one. I hate to see rows of empty machines and then train next to someone just because they took the middle one of the 3 I prefer to use.
Or... if I am on a machine (I try to take the end one so that this is less likely to happen, but happen it does) someone comes and ignores all the other empty ones and puffs, pants and sweats on the machine next to me. bleuch!

Maybe someone was using the others when they came, and the middle one was the only one free?
Petty hate: ing arrogant architects with their stupid fancy flash-based websites that won't display properly on any browser except ing IE, then hijack that window with no address bar etc. and automatically maximise it so I can't see the rest of my notes - and then don't actually have any information on the website, just a bunch of quotes meant to make them look wonderful, sensitive artists which really make them look like prats

Mala, I know that and every time I get cross I tell myself that.
It is an extremely petty hate. Very petty. But you know, my middle name is Petty!

Well, you know, I'm probably the most unreasonable person I know, with the most unreasonable petty hates.
It's a wonder I don't wind myself up more

People who "ring" forever and ever without getting the message, then, once the cycle is done, call you again so it can "ring" some more. The ringing is bloody annoying and distracting!

People who dont answer the phone when it's obviously urgent enough for me to *keep* ringing even though I have better things to do...
