Third time in five months I've walked poo into my hallway (AND it's the new carpet). I just stepped in to plug the lawnmower in, usually I'd have wiped and taken trainers off.

Now I have to try and avoid wretching as I clean the soles of them ...

Sorry, my day's petty hate is, well, a short list:

PA systems not working.
Weak bass drum skins.
Tiny bass amps.
People liking me too much without so much as asking my permission.

Last post, I promise. I would like to recind an apostrophe from the last post, it was disgustingly misplaced and is making me cringe even now

What's wrong with the apostrophe? If you mean "the petty hate OF the day", then surely a possesive apostrophe is quite right

My daily gripe: people who save themselves a few minutes when sending stuff out by not bothering to enter it in the database, not doing the proper paperwork, and not keeping *any* record of testing. Yeah, that's OK, we'll spend several weeks trying to trace things back and sort out the mess when questions are asked

Actually that's not very petty.

That was the most annoying part of our field trip to the US - suddenly being called "ma'am"

heh heh, well, I discovered after the shock and feeling old had settled in that it was because I wasn't listening DAB-wise, but I still went 'Oh my god!' when there was a moment's silence

Today's entry - and this is very petty - getting badly synched with the office coffee machine, so every time I need a coffee I get the stewed dregs *and* have to make another pot.

I could hear it on the telly and I'm 33! It's possible they changed it so that it was audible but I like to think I'm young at heart!!

In my experience it depends on both age and the number of rock concerts attended
