Right on the nose... The feller was a dwarf, and could only reach the 10th button in the elevator with his umbrella. Which begs the question - why didn't he carry a baton or something to push the button with on days when it wasn't raining?

Flour and finely divided sawdust are combustible materials. When dispersed in air, they can form an explosive mixture. This is because of the size of the individual particles being very small, and hence their suspension in the air. Having all that contacting surface means that it can easily (and very rapidly) undergo combustion. When an ignition source appears, all of that material goes up really quickly - a deflagration or at worst a detonation results. This can happen with a variety of materials from coal dust to finely ground grains to pulverized paper. Any fuel dispersed or suspended thoroughly in air presents a serious deflagration/detonation hazard. smiley - yikes
