Have fun Lou and come back "to report" when you've finished the song.

It means "It's in the Seine [river], where you can see my pain"
(Lou is being made to suffer for an awful French exam about the Seine, but is going to be a Rap Star even if she fails her exam... which she won't! )

Thanks Deni, I remember I knew a joke in French about the river Seine but I have forget about it as it was in 1976 when I was told it.

Thanks for the beer Kat.... I seem to be drinking on quite a few threads at the moment. Be kind when I start falling on the floor and laughing at nothing....

Ca va ? (note the question mark) means
how are things ? / how are you ? / you OK ? / Is it alright ?
Ca va (with no question mark ) is most common answer to "Ca va ?"... but can be used in other circumstances
It means
fine / I'm fine / I'm OK / everything's alright (even "stop worrying/fussing").
The "Ca va ?" question / "Ca va ! " answer is pretty much reflex. It's often just a way of saying Hi.

Thanks for the help deni, alot of the times I remember French phrases that I have heard from in the past.
I find watching Poirot helps quite a bit, even though he is Belgium, he uses quite a few French phrases in his lines.

Literally, ca va means "that goes". I hope this is as enlightening as it was intended to be.
Now can someone tell me what all this rap stuff is about? I know nothing of this "bling and baggies" of which you speak.
You know once upon a time this thread was very strange, but at least it was predictably so - you always had an inkling about what was going to come next. But it seems that the Young People may have got involved and made the strangeness of deja vu their own.
Hey well, the times they are a changing, eh? But does anyone actually know what deja vu means, literally?

Bonjour
Bon Mattine
Bonsoir
Bons Bons
Here is a lonesome Dejav researcher singing with je ne sais quoi pal. I am on a lonesome range for away in the lonesome valley. All I keep on thinking is what happened to my sans ferri anne. Has she got to the lonesome chateau to find her lonesome beau.
Oh Come back Whisky and everyone and have a drink of my lonesome whisky. Where we can sing songs about the vert serge in the jardin and Hercules Poirot solving the Deja vu murders. Oh what has happened to my Deja vu, the say that he went on a ferry to Guernsey and was never found again. Hercules Poirot and Maigret are hot on the trail with their je ne sais quoi and joie do vie.
