Should you have been born in a different age?

I would have probably made a good samurai.

I should have been born at 20, to be spared all that awkward adolescent stuff.
Oh, sorry, wrong question.
I should have been born between 1880 and 1920... a time when science is reasonably advanced enough that they know what a germ is, yet a time old enough that you could still have a nice house near a metropolitan area with a yard so large that none of your neighbors could bother you... no matter how hard they tried. A time where small towns still existed so you got the chance to know your neighbors and they were actually quite nice people.

Well, half of me says that I was born in the right time, and the other half is screaming to be placed in a time-machine and sent back to the time of Oscar Wilde, when he was at the height of fame, success and excellent droll wit...
Which means, I suppose, that that particular half would have had to have been conceived some time in the future, if time travel was ever possible, and then taken back to the 1880s - fin de siècle period...
I suppose that this means that it was easier for me to have been born in the time that I am...
Re-reading that, I suppose that the time travel method is a little too convoluted, so I'll just go for the natural birth in 1875 so I can fully enjoy the opening night of 'The Importance of Being Earnest' in ...
Perhaps it was easier to have been born in this time...

Hello all... Please oh please let me go back to the time of knights and castles........I think I would have made a good Crusader
Alternatively, your comment about Oscar Wilde is true, he was a man of unsurpassable wit

In terms of wit, Oscar Wilde has been surpassed by both Spike Milligan and Prince Philip...so I would have to disagree...

However, Wilde was the most witty person of his time. I would have loved to have heard his little quips at the time that they were said, rather than on paper, whereas I have already heard the excellence of Spike on many occasions

True!
I would like to have heard the classic Churchill quote...
"You sir are drunk!"
"And you madam are ugly. But I shall be sober in the morning."
Or something like that.
Then again, I would love to hear a Prince Philip quote first hand...

I'd have to go back further - at least the 19th century when having curves was fashionable and men had to wear suits and had 90% of the time! Though I have absolutely NO other reasons for thinking I should have been around then...
so I'd probably fancy living in ancient Rome more.

that is kinda funny that that should be asked. Half the time it should feel as if I was alive in a different place and time, a few times over. And clues about your personality should be able to point that out. Do you draw? What do you draw the best/easiest? What do you do on your free time? Are your actions based on intuition?
For me i thind that i was around in mid-evil time period and some where in the greater periods of chinese history. And i would rather know the times of the chinese period

Ummm..ok, Mac Danny, tell me what time I've lived in;
1) Do you draw? Not very well.
2) What do you draw best/easiest? Monsters, making bits up as I go along.
3) What do you do on your spare time? Write and play music, sleep and drink lots.
4) Are your actions based on intuition? If you mean do I have no organisational skills or foresight whatsoever, then yes.
It sounds to me like I was a druid. Or some kind of tribal muso.
What do you reckon?

There are more questions than that to be asked. Questions of artistic value. Reading, caligraphy, leading or following, things like these. And intuition, thats one of those things of - do you plan or just let them happen? Do you think alot or a little? Do you meditate or contemplate? HOw much do you have to be in control?
In order to answer your question, I would have to know alot more about you than the questions that i can ask over a computer. Know what i mean?
