"Who's the daddy?" WHY!!!!!???? What does it mean, death to those who say it

"Making it large" - Nuff said

"Nuff Said"

Caper Plip,

Oh, Candide is a novel by Voltaire which satirises Leibniz's general philosophy of "everything always happens for the best." It's quite amusing, and not heavy reading. It's also been described as a book that everybody should read (before this became a cliché for every bestseller) - though I can't say it was particualrly mindblowing.

"From the get-go" - sorry, do you just mean from the start or from the beginning?

"enough-already!" - urgh.

"that's a good segway" - hmmm? "I was just going to talk about that" sounds much better.

"do you like your eggs over easy?"

Spike, I don't know if you are male or female but I think you really hit a nerve there with any woman that has ever been to a gynaecologist or had a smear test done. "Try to relax" is the most ridiculous thing to say yet they always say it! You just want to shout "You try relaxing in this situation!!!" but you just keep quiet and keep on "trying" to relax - usually failing miserably. smiley - erm

Oh but Xanatic, geezer's so useful - it can mean cowboy or top bloke as in 'diamond geezer'.

But Xan,

You're a diamond geezer
You're a guy

One is a qualitative assessment of a person's character, the other is stating the bleeding obvious...

Instead of geezer, just use guy. And instead of diamond(it's not an adjective anyway) use great guy. Simple.
