I was scared by an advert today for denture cream, where an oldish lady approaches the screen, filling it with her head, and harangues the viewer with her wobbly-denture problems. Very scary on a big-screen TV

Something today or yesterday made me feel old, but I can't remember what it was. That *does* make me feel old

My Dr Whos are Hartnell & Troughton.
Hubby who was 50 last year was definitely put out to realise he's eligible for Saga products.
Horrified when I hear myself saying things to my children that my mother said to me.
But how fantastic to have lived thru so much & have so many memories. Does it matter having different tastes now? It's just another phase to experience & make the most of!
My grandfather was born in 1884 & lived to 100, still alert to the end. Hope I can do as well.

Finding a log book easier to use than a calculator.
Using the term 'log book' to mean owt but a vehicle registration doc.

Knowing how to use a slide rule.

How about when you remember the Austin 7 as the mini of the day and you realise that some of those who claim to feel old are young enough to be your kids, and an odd one or two might even be your grandkids.
Your getting on a bit when you start to feel young at heart.

Keeping to thread:
When you remember that cars were mostly given Horse Power as a suffix to the makers name. Eg Austin 7 :Ford 8 : Morris 10 Rover 12 etc .My first car was a Vauxhall 14. I think the first 'Funny' name given to a Vauxhall was Victor and if you remember what happened to it's sills then you are getting on a bit.

I put on a dress t'other day 'cos the Iceland delivery man was coming (well I didn't want to scare him - I'd been wearing nowt for the past 3 days) and after he'd been my daughter started saying she felt sorry for all the poor delivery men having to put up with the middle-aged housewives lying in wait for them, all dressed up...

When I realised she was including me in that I felt REALLY old.
