"Craquelin" sounds more French (even though it derives from Dutch).
However, I never heard anyone use this word (which would be perfectly correct) in my entire life.
Tout le monde dit "cracker" (usually followed by some brand name).

We avons jete most of them a la poubelle.
Honestly though, there was a corny English joke and a corny French joke in each one. The pressies were cool, though. The hats were the usual. And they went "bang" in English. And they cost 6 euros for 8 so they were probably from last year.
Here's one that wasn't in them, which is an all time favourite.
I say, I say, my wife went to the West Indies
Jamaica?
Jamaique?
No, she went of her own accord
???

Est-ce que you realise that je was parler des edible craquelins all the chemin, as tout le monde else was parler about les Noël crackers?
I jamais found une joke dans les edible craquelins (je mean apart from their intrinsèque existence!).
What est "Trillian" par le way?

It is rumoured that Trillian and Arthur .... but never actually explicitly stated. Although there is living proof in Random, I suppose, but that's nothing to do with me.

Les jokes are mais most que je know would être modérées.
