The first cool day since May.

It's been quite mild in the uk this week, but with warnings of colder frostier climes this weekend. I took the dogs out for a walk this evening, and had to sprint home when it started raining

After an early light snow shower, it has brightened up with a blue sky, scattered clouds and sunshine.

The top temperature is 3 °C but with the wind chill factor added feels more like -2°C.

Clear and cool.

A small flock of birds I've not yet been able to identify as to species has taken to systematically eating every green sprout in the garden and ravaging more mature green plants for their leaves, starting with fruiting melons, of which, none survive.

The little may be a major part of the reason this region is a desert.

North Wales,

Rained all day yesterday, from dawn to shortly after dark. Scattered clouds, but no rain, today, pleasantly cool.

It's 5.11 pm on a balmy Saturday and we're all neck deep in the pool or floating around under my golden cane palm trees and we have some lovely Brazilian Nu-Jazz pumping across the water as the roast pork+crackling hiss and splutters on the BBQ.

Away with your reports of cool/cold/freezing/wet/snowy/generally Northern weather!

It's a diminishing 31 degrees here supposedly heading to a very cool 18 but I doubt that.
