Another two that fall into this category but quite narrowly avoided appearing on the 'worst music' thread are 'Dr Alban' and 'Haddaway'. Anything by either artisté was usually the ultimate in 'techno-lite'* trype but strangely likeable.
I have always experienced cautious enjoyment of Haddaway pseudo-angst singing "baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more" over pharting organs and sampled synths, and I found myself involuntarily humming along to Dr Alban when his work was used to advertise ladies private towelling items.
* fanu Blues, for a lovely new appropriate categorisation

I found myself listening to All Saints' "Black Coffee" on the radio yeaterday and thinking, wow, that's a really great song!

I always thought 'Never, Ever' was a superb bit of soul/gospel/pop.
Maybe even enough to get them forgiven for murdering 'Under the Bridge'.

May I use this thread to confess?
I've never in my life thrown away a CD, and consequently I still have every CD I ever bought. No wait, I gave away an Anastacia album.
In my collection:
Too many Mariah Carey albums, Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head, some 80s stuff like Cyndi Lauper, Tears for Fears..., two albums by All Saints, and now for the worst: when I was 10/11 years old, the Spice Girls were my heroes, so...But I really keep them only for nostalgic reasons, I don't listen to them any more. Apart from Coldplay's "Green Eyes", I really like that one

If it'ds the Cyndi lauper album featuring 'Time After Time', 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' and 'She-Bop' then that's no crime, it should be essential listening for the whole populace.

I have to say, I find this thread much more reassuring than the toffe-nosed-musical-elitist threads where everyone claims to be listening to something extremely pretentious and obscure.
It's almost comforting enough for me to admit that I am currently listening to Village People's Macho Man.
Oh no...

Where do I start? As a primary schooler I could often be found singing Paper Roses by Marie Osmond!! I still listen to Too Many Broken Hearts by Jason Donovan and Requiem by The London Boys. My favourite X factor finalist is Chico!!! Is there any hope for me? I do like some really good music as well .... honest!! I might get back to this thread!!

I like the phrase someone from REM used about songs that are silly but that are still great: Inspired stupidity.

I know I'm going back a few posts, but I've only just read it -
"How about the theme song to Tots TV?
Cannot stand it, but found myself humming it at work, back in the day"
I'm a tot,
Je suis un tot,
Tilly, Tom and Tiny,
We're the tot's from Tot's TV,
One, two, three...
Dodgy show that one - french lass, shacked up in the forest with two blokes and a donkey...

I know a good way to get all annoying songs out of you head Play "One Song to the Tune of Another" all fans of I'm sorry I haven't a clue will know this and to everyone else it does exactly as the title suggests.
Here are some suggestions
'Girlfriend in a coma' to the tune of 'Tiptoe thru the Tulips'
'Insy winsy spider' to the tune of 'The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves'
'Postman Pat' to the Tune of 'The Habenera' from Carmen
'I can't Live' to the tune of 'The Can-Can'
'Where did you get that hat' to the tune of 'The Dambusters March'
and my personal favourite
'I've got a lovely bunch of cocnuts' to the tune of 'The Toreador's Song' from Carmen
How many people are going to try these out?

My all time personal favourite was Willie Rushton (God rest his soul) doing Stand By Me to the William Tell Overture.

I don't know if I should contribute to this thread, as I don't really think there are any songs I shouldn't like. The song I mentioned earlier as being inspired stupidity was Louie Louie by The Kingsmen. That one was also mentioned in the movie Mr Hollands Opus where he talks about that it has no proper rhytm, that they have no knowledge of harmony but that the song is just fun. Same with movies, they might not be masterpieces of modern cinema, with simple plots and bad acting, but if you thoruoghly enjoy them what's so wrong with that? I feel the only bad thing is to limit yourself.

Talking of guilty pleasures I have just aquired Guilty 2 by Ms Streisand, I did love the original album and the second one does not disapoint!
Feel It by Tamperer is the song I *really* shouldn't like
"What's she gonna look like with a chimney on her?"
Just for that line alone!!!!!
