Silverfish

For getting tin tinabulation, Ekki, you get a smiley - ale
from me

The islets of langerhans are cells in the pancreas, that produce glucagon, insulin, and somatostatin. There are three types of cell, alpha, beta and delta, producing each type respectively. Shove it in a search engine, google is a good one, and you should find something.

Jellyfish is the only way to describe them. For once, the naming committee got it right (but then whales falling from above, having only come into being seconds before, are very busy).
Islets of langerhans... I'd like to visit them one day.
Pudding has to be this week's top word, though.

Sorry, Mandragora, but my pun sensor just went
off when you said "Pudding has to be this week's
top word, though."

Pudding on a cracker, for instance would be (ta-da):

Pudding on the Ritz smiley - smiley

Spilling pudding on your shoe would be:

Pudding your best foot forward

But then, I enjoy pudding everyone on.

Right, that's it- I shall hunt you down and kill you. With the funniest-named weapon known to man, a bludgeon.

Bludgeon? Kill?

smiley - yikes

Should I smiley - grovel ?

Or smiley - blush ?

Or just smiley - wah ?

(Or just stay and get smiley - injured ?)

Fortitude is kind of a funny word,
but I'm not possessed of much right now.

Bye. smiley - run

"Or just stay and get "???
No, I'm not really going to kill you. I just wanted to say 'bludgeon'.
(But the puns were inexcusable)

Is a Clitoral Hood a pussy posse?

Would they go out and do snatches?

Hullaballoo Is my fave word. As in 'What's all the hullaballoo?'

Argh, you're all at it (punning).
As far as I know, they're very well behaved. Which is more than can be said for you smiley - winkeye!

If you like. smiley - laugh

As for the Golgy bodies - they're strange structures in the cytoplasm of cells, and I haven't the faintest what they do.

More odd words: 'baleen', 'pus', 'putrid', 'supperating'... smiley - ill

Salubrious.
It means health-giving etc. but sounds descriptive of the type of bar where you have to poke a hole through the fug before you can see the barman, and put a napkin on your seat before you sit down.
And, whilst looking up 'salubrious', I found 'soupcon' (soft c, with a little gubbins underneath.) A word that cannot be said seriously.

Gubbins? Cedilla, surely. One o' these - 'รง'. smiley - smiley Which is in itself an innately funny word. As is 'sibilant', a word which itself describes the word 'cedilla'... smiley - silly

Flotsam and jetsam.

(And no, I'm not going to inflict any
more punnishment tonight--at least not here smiley - smiley )

That's it. I knew vaguely, but didn't want to look foolish. (It's not a character used in the languages I study.) And I got to write 'gubbins', which is worthy of recognition.
'Cedilla' sounds like a musical instrument of the Renaissance, something lute-like.

Which is somewhat ironic, as I know an elderly, crochetty and extremely amusing 'cellist by the name of Jean Gubbins... poor woman. smiley - smiley

My friend was going to change her name to Jenny Gubbins, just so she could be a farmer's wife and make pies. She changed her mind when she realised she'd have to grow huge forearms.
