'Dear God' - XTC. I just read the lyrics online somewhere and, once again, just had to whack it on. It seems quite pertinent at the minute!

'Fine Knacks for Ladies': Sting
I'll be seeing Sting and lutenist Edin Karamazov performing a concert of 17th century John Dowland tunes in a few hours from now!

Ooh! Do please report back on the concert! I've not bought this album yet (have you?)...let us know what you think of it.

Will do!
Yes, I received the album for Christmas.
I love Elizabethan music, so listening to Sting's unique tenor voice and a top-notch lutenist doing John Dowland() is a welcome treat to my ears. It's wonderful music!

Snow Patrol - Eyes Open. I've had the album a few months and I think this is only the third time I've listened to it, which makes miz's post quite coincidental!

I'm watching a glorious documentary on BBC about the 60s & 70s East Coast stuff (CSN&Y, The Eagles etc). Missed the first half hour through watching Room 101, but will be setting the DVD thingy to record it at 2:20, and I'd recommend peeps to do the same!

Aha.......thanks for the heads up Roymondo If you like The Eagles sound BTW, look out for a band called 'Midlake' at the moment. Uncannily similar.
I'm now listening to Hot Chip - The Warning.
Over and over.....

Actually, I've never been much of an Eagles guy, more the CSN(&Y) thing, but I'm gradually starting to get 'em.
I seem to have missed out a '4' after the 'BBC' bit!
