Theme tune from 'The Streets Of San Fransico'. Blimey. I don't know if the version I've got is the original (mine's from a mid 90s compilation called 'This Is Cult Fiction') but it really is seriously, seriously good. You could listen to the drummer, bassist, brass section etc individually and be entranced. Listen to the whole lot together and it's bloomin' orgasmic.
I regularly play it to people and they are usually right into it. It's pure quality.

Queen - 'Liar'. Somebody in the room said they didn't like 'Radio Ga-Ga' (understandable) and that it tainted their opinion of Queen. Some education is in order!

Marillion - 'Real to Reel'. I'd forgotten what a good bass player Pete Trevar, er, Trewavr, er, Tervaw, erm, the bass player was (and probably still is).
'Market Square Heroes'. What a song!

Ooh! 'Forgotten Sons'! Absolute sheer quality.
(and yeah, I'm not listening to it in order).

Patti Smith - Horses
Do you know how to pony like bony maroney
Do you know how to twist, well it goes like this, it goes like this
Baby mash potato, do the alligator, do the alligator
And you twist the twister like your baby sister
I want your baby sister, give me your baby sister, dig your baby sister
Rise up on her knees, do the sweet pea, do the sweet pee pee,

Love Will Tear Us apart, that is one of the most amazing tracks of all time, I love that song, but its so desperately depressing.
ATM, I'm listening to *uck Forever by Babyshambles. Babyshambles, can be a controversial issue for some. I think my list (good to bad)
1) Down in Albion [Babyshambles]
= Up the Bracket [The Libertines]
3) The Libertines [The Libertines]
4) Dirty Pretty Things (How don't even compete)
What does anyone else think?

I've not been grabbed by any Babyshambles (or Libertines) tracks. The current single from the other one's new band's quite good though.
(I'm not being as disparaging as it appears, I honestly can't remember the name of him, the band, or the single).
Ooh, it's Carl Barat isn't it! His band's new single's quite good. But it's all a matter of taste.

I get knarked that every tabloid reader in the UK knows the ins and outs of PD's life but most have probably never heard a note he's played/sung. The guy's a musician, not a role model, in a band that relatively few people have an interest in. Let him live his life, for better or worse.
WHAYLTATPM? 'Sugarmice' - Marillion.
I've got to get off teh Marillion tip soon: too much nostalgia!
Blame the JD.
