I've just made dinner - it turned out just as I'd hoped it would. I was afraid it would be dry, but it's not.

Brown basmati rice with onions, red and orange bell peppers, little red chilies, feta, and a bit of Edam cheese on top, nicely browned under the grill

WJH: I just made some roasted vegetables and also cooked a cake with cherries, using suggestions from the Improvised Kitchen Entry ie a 1kg re-cycled tin. I just wish my camera was still working. This is the first cake I have made in living memory.

I quickly rescued them and put them on her dressing table before informing Mrs BA. She said I should've put them in the washing basket.

So, I went to get them back, but lodger is now in her room

I hope she doesn't think that I have anything to do with her knickers being soggy

Did said knickers belong to a) seventeen different 1-year-old lodgers, b) your seventeen-year-old lodger, or c) a pair of lodgers knickers that they have all had to wear for the past seventeen years?

Or are they a pair of knickers that have been worn for 17 years by your old lodger?

There's a difference between being pedantic, and downright puzzled.

Mum just gave me back 4 books that she borrowed years ago. Now I have no space for them in my bookshelf anymore. Which means I'll also have no space for any books that I want to buy.
