I remember getting into the pictures for 60c as a kid. Don't know the exchange rate back then - now that would be 20p I guess.

MonkeyS- all revved up with no place to go

I remember when petrol was 80 pence a litre- AND WE BARRICADED THE FUEL DEPOTS!!

Took our eye off the ball there, didn't we???

Seriously though, I remember my mate have a Rover SDi, and he used to put £2.00 worth of petrol in it, pay by cheque, and it would run all week.

I can remember bread going up to 15p a loaf some time in the early/mid 70s. There was outcry (in the tabloids, anyway) over a loaf costing the equivalent of 3 shillings.
