what do you miss?
Primeval Mudd (formerly Roymondo) Posted Aug 5, 2006
I miss Chorlton & The Wheelies. I have one episode on DVD but it's not the same as being a kid and happening to catch it on telly.
*I do not condone any of the following*
I miss sitting on a beach or in a forest at sunrise having spent the night with a group of good friends on LSD or mushrooms. I miss the conversations we had in our youthful, mashed way. I miss the camaradery of us all trying to act 'normal' when a regular person came into view. I miss experiencing sound, vision, smell and touch in a way I never will again (especially when they got a bit jumbled!)
I can't recommend, advise or condone taking psychedelic drugs as they are not only illegal but, more importantly, can do a lot of damage (see Syd Barrett). I do miss them though. I still see those friends, we still have a good time. I love the time I spend with them now, mainly because I love *them*. However, I do miss the times we *used* to have, both straight and mashed.
I suppose what I'm saying is that I miss being in my late teens/early twenties & the freedom that goes with those times.
I've got the best mates in the world; I just wish I was a bit nearer them.
I've got the best parents in the world; I wish they knew what I think of them.
I'm a member of the best online community in the world; thank Bob for that!

Yep, feeling soppy. Sitting in a field watching music this afternoon took me right back.
I do hope that my previous post doesn't get d for the drug references - it's probably the most honest, heartfelt and relevant thing I've ever said here.

I miss my little mummy too, I miss having no one to spoil me, and tell me I'm the bestest thing ever, or stand by and support me when things get horrid. I miss laughing til I cried and my stomach hurt, I miss her scrambled eggs and all the other special tasty wee treats she'd rustle up out of nothing.
And my best friend and soul mate, Gary, who I had the best of times with for 7 short but wonderful years. 19 years on and still thought of and missed everyday
I also miss being able to dance for more than 5 minutes without getting breathless and achey legs

*I also miss being able to dance for more than 5 minutes without getting breathless and achey legs*
Also remembering that my hips can no longer deal with the sit down dance for more than 30 seconds.
I miss having more free time than work time.
I miss toffee in my curly wurly.
I miss the Buffy community that used to reside here.
