Housework: avoiding for as long as humanly possible then attacking the Aga with Mr Muscle and some elbow grease, only to end up with
a) a hob that is still greasy
b) a gas ring not working
c) black stuff under my fingernails that I don't even want to think about!

Well, she was old, and it was a while ago. I wasn't around when it happened, but my parents told me it would have broken my heart to see her near the end.
