Memorable TV moments? hmmm....
*Awooga! Spoiler Alert! Awooga!*
What about the last episode of series 4 of Waking The Dead where Mel, Claire Goose's character was killed?
Or the episode of Buffy where Joyce died?
On a completely different note, last night's programme about the Somme was pretty memorable and moving too, I hadn't fully realised 'til then that when Blackadder made a quip along the lines of 'Is this the plan where we climb out of the trenches and walk very slowly towards the enemy?' the writers weren't joking...
What courageous, amazing men

Which, of course, brings us to the final moments of Blackadder goes Forth. You can hardly get more perfect than that.

....The week or so from Diana Princess Of Wales's death to her funeral was fascinating, a strange part of TV history.
.
....I was indiffernt to the woman, and could never understand people camping out for 3 nights at Kensington Palace, something they wouldn't do for their own relatives. And all the crying and wailing!
Yes she did good works, but so do many people who arn't rich and aristocratic, like she was.

I'm not watching Lost - I hope something turns in the next few months to make embarking on following a six month tv series pointless. Hasn't happened yet though!

Yes to both of those, but I remember the episode where Tara died more clearly.
I have to agree about the end of Blackadder Goes Forth - unbearably sad, undeniably perfect.

For me, the most memorable TV moment of my life was the last episode of Twin Peaks. In these days of 24 and Lost...etc, it tends to be forgotten as the truly excellent TV series it was, and it really kicked things off. Without it I doubt we would have had the X files or even 24.
Also, the last episode of the Prisoner! But I was too young for that first time round!

A fantastic Tv moment to come will have to be when they stop making all those reality T Big Brother/Survivor/I'm a Celebrity/Pop Idol things. Getting so fed up with them all.

A fairly important TV moment was during Vietnam war.
Up until then, the soldiers from the north were supposed to be the nasty old communist bad guys, the soldiers from the south, the good guys.
...news report showed a close up of a north vietnamise (sp?) prisoner being shot through the head by the "good guys" , a sumary execution without trial didn't go down too well.

Paxman asking Michael Howard the same question 12 times.
Chris Morris turning up in disguise on The Time The Place.
Phil Collins talking Nonce Sense on Brasseye.

"I'm being very rude here Minister but I'm afraid you're not answering the question."
Brilliant.

The other classic Paxo moment:
'Yes, but you invaded Kuwait'.
There wasn't much Iraq's foreign minister could say to that, but boy did he try. Repeatedly.

Just found out that a new series of The Prisoner is being planned. What a terrible, terrible idea. I bet you it will be a soulless work of utter junk as opposed to the act of genius which was the original 60s show.
I am cringing already.

Why do they do that anyway? Seems to happen a lot recently where they take a classic tv show and turn it into a film or so-called "singers" take good sixties and seventies songs and turn them into dance tracks. Just not right. Can't anyone come up with a new idea??

I know I hate it. Especially when its something that was perfectly valid and good in the first place.
