Trillian Nekhbet Posted Feb 5, 2003
Greetings... my name is Trillian Nekhbet and my philosophy comes from the incomparable Mae West,
"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."
"I'm no model lady. A model's just an imitation of the real thing."
"The curve is more powerful than the sword."
"The best way to behave is to misbehave."
"He who hesitates is last."

My favorite saying of Mae West's is "When I'm good I'm very, very good, but when I'm bad I'm better".

Lovely remark dear Raymond.
Perhaps I was being too serious and thought this was really a site for the discussion of philosophy - which I love!!
Regards.

Philosophy serious? Philosophy is more than a discussion of concepts. It's an attitude, a lifestyle. You can discuss other peoples philosophies, but you live your own. I've never seen anything that indicates life is totally serious. I can be serious when need be, and I'm often cynical but never for very long. If I get too serious for too long, you are authorized to give me a swift . . .

Can't one be serious AND happy?
If I connectd with that part of your anatomy dear Paymond I would land flat on my back - and NOT be able to right myself, - like the proverbial turtle.

Yes, a person can be serious AND happy, but I think that it will wear rather thin after awhile. Besides, its too easy to let gloom overtake you if you concentrate on the serious side of life.
You should meet my two grandsons, little Ray, age 5 and Isaak (Ike), age 3. Plenty serious when they are required to be, but always ready with a grin or a giggle or something. And it is virtually impossible to be completely serious around them, as both have infectious smiles. They can make a game out of almost anything. Keeps me young.
Nobody else takes me serious, why should I?
