thanks amy.
corel draw, hmmm, yes I used to correct my backgrounds in photoshop because corel ALWAYS exported them wrong, no matter how many times you told it to be 0,0,102 it said "now lets componsate for somthing you didn't ask for" and it comes out purpulish, even in RGB mode using web colours.
I like the irish one. very good.

No goo? There should be a law against it .
I'm sure you'll find goo on one of the palettes - or you could make your own. In the meantime you can get at goo by opening one of il viaggiatore's templates and sampling with the eye-dropper.
'Fill' (and it's friend 'stroke') refers to vector shapes. 'No fill' would normally mean an outline that wasn't coloured in.

I shouldn't really point this out but I did as you said, and got my 'goo' from il viaggiatore's lips....... I happily have plenty of my own now. chrz
bit puzzled why white isn't the same?

I was just looking at il viaggiatore's lips, so to speak. The background colour has been reassigned to white, which it shouldn't have been. The background colour of any non-rectangular shapes destined for the classic goo skin - the colour set to be transparent - should be accurately goo (#000066) and not set to white, grey or any other colour. This is a belt and braces thing - just in case the transparency fails during the blobbing process.
I suggest you use il viaggiatore's circle templates instead. I gave the link on the last page.

I must admit I did a few more ideas last week, but this is my first return to this project since last I posted a message.
If you check the fotopic site I did some more ides (all have irland or mic as part of the file name), but other than that I'v had to sideline them dew to other presures, sorry.
Hope all is going well at h2g2.
PS. You have my permission to copy any ideas I do for h2g2, as my main problem seems to be I lack the pacience to finish off artwork
......or should that be

You have excellent taste, Mel . People tend to like to see pictures of people.
Well done, Stoopher! Your pictures are just what is required . I'll see if I can get the Jimster to pop over here with some words of encouragement.

... and here I am.
Hi Stoopher,
I'm very pleased to say that you have been accepted into the Volunteer Artists scheme. Sorry for all the hoop-jumping we've had you doing, as hopefully things will be a bit easier than they has been so far.
I'll send you an invitation later to our Yahoo Group. From there we'll let you settle in and then get you drawing.
Oh, and if you pop over to your Personal Space, you should see a brand new badge.
Jimster
(and thanks to all the other artists and researchers who've helped out with this application)
