Where has the time gone? The first week of October is already over? (Granted, the weatehr's felt more like the first week of August, till today, but that's beside the point )
So, from tomorrow afternoon through a week from Monday, we're "dog-sitting" again. Now that they've moved closer (they're in Lake View now instead of Lincoln Park; K and I live in the North Center area), we don't need to sleep there, though we're likely to at the two weekends. Might mean a little extra money, as well as a lot of slobbery dog stink and my feeling periodically wheezy. But, it's the kind of thing friends do for each other.
That's about it, really, otherwise it's been pretty much business as usual around here. We were feeling particularly lazy, and ate out or ordered in every night this week, so last night was he first we watched any Netflix: "Chop Socky- Hong Kong Cinema", which was a documentary on, well, Hong Kong cinema/ Kung Fu movies which ran on the Independent Film Channel (USAian cable) last year. It was really cool! Unfortunately, none of the films discussed which we *haven't* seen are currently available through Netflix.
Still haven't gotten my back pay from the old job, but they have begun to process my claim, we're waiting to hear back if he's agreed to pay or has requested a hearing. We'll see. Fingers crossed, everyone!
Nothing else pressing to report, so I'll close this up and get myself to work early enough to get some extra in me! Geezers aren't practicing tonight, so I ill most likely be tied up this evening (I hope! ).

I am trying my best to ease into autum.
I am trying not to be trying to others also
I could use a little cheering up.
I usually see twinny in October.
She may need to move here for a while. We are waiting on more information. Either way, whether moving or visiting I hope it is soon.

Autumn???
Not here, mate. Still wearing sandals and summery dresses. Still getting up to more than +30ยบ in the afternoons (though nights are a bit cooler than before).
This suits me quite well because I hate wearing shoes.

It's lovely here most days, nice sunny skies but not boiling hot, leaves fluttering around, all the trees changing colour. We have loads of trees here & there's a wonderful view across the Charente river from the remparts.
I sat in the doorway today peeling veggies with skankydawg at my feet, it was great, sunny & warm & lots of people passing by stopping to say hi to The World Famous Eared .
I really love Autumn!!! My favourite time of year. Spring is a close second, not fond of Winter, & Summer i really don't like much.

Hiya Abbi, Jaz'd, Az and Terri!
Abbi, I hope that whether it's staying or visiting (stay sounds more fun to me), you and Twinny and hubby will have an awesome time. Please, keep me posted???
Az, is the continued warmth a good or bad thing? Earlier this week, we had August-y weather, and truth be told, I'm ready to be done with it. I prefer what we had today- mid-40s, rain, and very windy.
Autumn is my fave, spring my second, winter and summer I can deal with but don't love in particular... though I'd take winter chill and snow over summer heat and humidity. Az'd hate it. I prefer to wear boots, no matter what, and she hates shoes!
If I can wear a sweater and not break a sweat, I'm happy! Otherwise, forget it... I'm a grouch!

I don't like summer!!!
Autumn is the the obvious superior month and spring is ok. I like winter if I don't have to go out in it and get my socks wet.
And it smells like halloween!!!!
October is my favourate month(not because of my birthday)

October is my favorite month. And *my* birthday's in May.
Happy birthday, FF, even if early, it's never *too* early, till you're 40.

Oh
It would be very if we could meet
It's very rare to find others who acknowledge the wonderful scent of October. If they could bottle *that* maybe I'd consider wearing perfume

I will e-mail you... I'll try very hard not to forget(I have a bit of a list of "people to e-mail").

Hi y'all!! JEllen here! I've been painting tonight, working on a sunset. Painting always puts me in a good mood, especially when it goes right.
