Mort - a middle aged Girl Interrupted

I was on the emergency shift once and me and the vet got so smiley - drunk on Christmas day that we didn't hear the phone ring. One of the off duty nurses ended up answering it!

Fortunately by the time the client arrived with her dog (in a non emergency condition I might add - a rash on his leg!!) I had sobered up a bit!

Disgraceful behaviour smiley - blush Luckily I am good at sobering up quickly when faced with work emergencies. (I won't go into details, but somethings just bring you back down to earth with a bump)

Christmas can be quite good at work, depending on your job. A great atmosphere, and if you are lucky everybody is too busy stuffing their faces and drinking smiley - bubbly to want to bother you. And those that do, feel so guilty that they come armed with boxes of chocolate and bottles of wine!!

Anyway, I hope all those poor souls working over the festive period find some time to enjoy themselves and pull a smiley - cracker

Lentilla (Keeper of Non-Sequiturs)

Kringle, you only work one day a year. What are you complaining about? smiley - winkeye

Now, a carol.

Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg;
The Batmobile has lost a wheel, and the Joker got away - hey!

smiley - snowball Oof. All right, how about...

Deck the halls with gasoline,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la, la, la
Light a fire and watch it gleam
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la, la, la
Isn't it fun to play with matches
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la, la, la
Watch the house burn down to ashes,
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la, la, la.

Merry Xmas to Ya'll, and to Ya'll a Good Night! smiley - mistletoe
