I was online for a while last night (about 23.00 GMT) and it was zipping away without a care in the world. Now it's back to Slug Mode.

That may be because there aren't many people online at that time of night.

I'm getting continual proxy errors on the BBC's "Archers" boards at the moment...

I often get errors from h2g2 saying could not complete request to server...

I get those errors as well, but h2g2 usually works again after a few minutes.
