12 August 2002: DNA 1.10 Scheduled for Release on Monday, 19th August
The H2G2 Editors Started conversation Aug 12, 2002
We're delighted to announce the planned release of DNA 1.10 on Monday, 19th August. The bulk of the upgrade consists of a completely new skin for h2g2, which will sit alongside Alabaster and Classic Goo (so if you don't like the new one, you don't have to use it). The new skin is called Brunel... because that's its name.
The upgrade does not require the servers to be switched off, but it's entirely possible that things might go a little weird as the new skin is uploaded on Monday morning (UK time). Nothing new round here, then, but we thought you might like to know.

Brunel designed my local railway station, and he built the railway line which i can see from this very computer. Now *that's* interesting

Or will it be all red brick like a certain university?

I'm not allowed to tell you. You'll just have to wait until Monday. All I can say is that it's quite different and will suit some people better than others. And that it's great for h2g2, of course.
Whoami?

I like rivets - I'll be giving it a go. I actually have to bookmarks in my browser depending on whether I want to surf in Goo or Alabaster. I'll have to bung another one on now1

Oh, sorry, it's a surprise.
Anyway, next Monday, go to a conversation forum in Brunel and imagine it with a 'yucky olive green' background at the top.
