And what about people who kill and torture others anyway?

They make exuses of other things, like oh I'm mentaly ill and ops I had a nervous break down.

I resent that comment. I have a variety of mental health problems and I have never used them as excuses to behave antisocially. People with mental illnesses are still people, and can often be very good people.

YES Batty for sure! we have to empower ourselves as human beings and get in contact with as many people as we can.
I believe that the only way we can stop those who do horrible things if the UN would be strong enough to try to study the previous history of yet to be presidents and prime ministers, and I dont know if that could happen, since there are some presidents who are there till they die ( Sadam, Qaddafi....etc) I know though that we, the people of the world MUST strengthen the UN, it is the only hope, as it is right now, it is a total joke :<:< I want it strengthend and I want UN observers where ever there is conflict in the world
Peace&Justice to ALL
(sorry for the misspells, wrote this in a hurry :>

ME@SF- I agree. I'd like to see us all move into a more global community. I wonder how it would happen though. I think if the leaders of the various countries were the ones whose lives were on the line rather than the people they use as pawns you would see a lot less disagreeing on piddly stuff and a lot more effort towards peace.
Ming Mang and DoctorMO - I think the key word is "excuse". It's not a reason for doing atrocities, it's just an excuse.
Keep in mind this stuff is merely IMHO. Feel free to tune out the ramblings.

I have had MH problems for 5 years, and not once have I been violent to another human being. John Prescott, however, is just John.

Surely this is a "good" thing. It means the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer, slower.
Very sad, and very dissapointed.
DoctorMO (Keeper of the Computer, Guru, Community Artist) Posted Sep 26, 2001
What you need the ecmonamy to be like if the weather, It can be sunny and nice they p**sing it down the next day. but more to point you need flows of money moving into difrent places. but because there is a slowdows, CEOs and Share owners will think twice about investing any more money. And if they own shares they will take them out so the rich stay rich [slower] and the poor get poorer [faster] good that isn't it.

Rich gamblers (investers) got burnt on the casino (stockmarket) pretty quickly last week. By contrast the poor are no poorer today than a week ago.
Very sad, and very dissapointed.
DoctorMO (Keeper of the Computer, Guru, Community Artist) Posted Sep 27, 2001
situations change, but the rich realy want to hold on to there money and they have more power than a poor person so they cna 'tweek' things to help them selfs (just look at camalot)

Ralph, the Janitor - Keeper of Magic Tricks that don't work (and some that do!) Posted Sep 27, 2001
You think the poor didn't get any poorer? Did their paychecks go up as fast as the price of gas? That hardly hurt the rich, but what about the people who are already living from paycheck to paycheck and barely hanging on? That's only one instance.
Very sad, and very dissapointed.

but you carnt have one rule for the richa nd one for the poore. I know what you are saying, but you have to have the same rules for evrybody or else whats the point. thats the major problem with a capotalists societythings get done becase people what money, but for the people whos ideas dont really work, or havent actully had a good idea or are to scerd to try it. they are kind of left to ot, sad but true
