Sorry Taff, I didn't give out a QI for that.
In fact I had
"Holding your breath", "Going over feet first" "SWIM!!" and "protect your head" all down as klaxons on the basis that these were all actions concerned with what you did after you'd gone over, not what you could do to prevent yourself going over (i.e find a slow-flowing lagoon)

Morning Taff,
Did this for you, but had to wait for the elves at youtube to screw in all the rivets.

Admittedly, I dig the pits, and put the tigers in , camouflage the holes and erect the easy to misunderstand signage ("Beach" ---->
But I deny all legal and moral responsibility if you walk across my freshly tilled meadow and get mauled by a large carnivorous cat
Did you change your mind about wanting the Allen Davies Award, then?

I understand, Taff. I love getting things right and getting points. Unfortunately, even when I see the trap I still sometimes stumble right into it, just in case.
Actually, I thought I was safe because the main bulk of the question was over (with the fluid mechanics an' all). I'm a gullible fool, eh Clive - the sort you thrive on.
I do enjoy your questions though Clive, despite the s. I may not post often, but I lurk quite a bit.

Well never presume that!
Re: gullibilty. No not really. If I have a multi-step problem , I'll often sort out different klaxons lists for each section of the question, so obvious first guess, and obvious educated guess. In this case, once I figured people would have worked out that a river's flow could slow, I thought I'd then ask which waterfall was it I was talking about, and klaxon the obvious answers in that category.
Niagra was the only one on that list. So you excelled there. sparing Toybox's blushes, as well (which would have halved their score and made Iago the top-dog), what I hope happens is I say "waterfall" and you say "Niagr -! ... now wait a minute... that's *too* obvious.
And Victoria Falls is hardly a shrinking violet amongst waterfalls, it's virtue lies in that it isn't Niagra.
But I sympathise I do, I'm mortified if I ever get a klaxon in someone else's thread..

Just watched the video and slideshow: I was getting vertigo just from looking at it.
There is nothing on this earth that would get me to go near that.
