Yes he was betrayed and arranged to be killed by the same guy who recruited him from prison,it is actually a great book to read and really well written
You would think more British politicians would have been shot ! guess if guns were more available like they are in the US then a lot more would have been.
We have hardly any leaves left on the trees and it wasn't warm enough to sunbathe*threw myself on the floor and had a little tantrum* I sunbathing.
Everything was white with frost this morning and the spiders webs had frozen and looked so pretty.Tonight in the moonlight the frost could be seen against the night sky like a fine mist but denser.

ash you are right about the climate...these are things we are noticing too... no frosts, and weather still warm enough not to wear a coat...
most of our leaves haven't dropped either, and the chesnuts are crap this year, hardly anything on the trees.
maybe with wilda being more northerly its not so noticable...probably soon us southerners will have to go scotland just to see real snow... saying that we do get snow on the brecon beacons, about a 40 min drive.
wilda do you ever see any red squirrels any more.. i used to see them as a child but haven't seen one for years...plenty of the grey imported bullies around...some one said you could still see reds in scotland...
things change... and not for the better.... apparently our native daffodill will die out in so many years as we get warmer..again they will survive longer in scotland...we'll all be coming up to invade soon enough wilda

I live in a set of coastal areas...
Only snows in the mountains,-but still some danger of pneumonia during the 'rainy season.'*
Other than that, um, Oh-good God! Too much homework!
i.e. suppose it's just more of "business as usual...

Oh,-& just to set the record straight,-, not everybody in the U.S. is allowed to have a gun everywhere. That's just policemen, etc. & some folks in rural areas (methinks). Everywhere else, I think,-like most cities, chances are that folks still need a set-of permit/license for justabout anything/everything (but-then again, I could be exaggerating just a bit). Lookit me, doin' hyperbole,-Wheee!

Did you finish your essay about Malcolm X thorny?
I think it is easier to own a gun in the USA,there are certainly more shops you could buy them from
Flakey we do still see a lone red squirrel now and then (they are beautiful) but tend to be few in numbers.Lots of big greys around though.
Conkers are in abundance at the moment

Really it's strange how we compare Red and Grey Squirrels even now, Greys are the imported invaders that destroyed our kinda cute native squirrels, both of them do the same job, they rip bark from trees exposing them to disease, litter the woods with nut shells, steal baby birds and eggs, it's just the grey is bigger and does a more efficient job....
I don't think I've ever seen a red squirrel...

Yes, Idid.
What made it difficult was that the prompt/& the theme Itook wasn't about civil rights. Always kinda tricky that is,-finding informationaboutsomeone,-that is not about what they tend to be in general primarily associated with/known for. But find it & do it I did.
Well,-inlight of when you put it in that context,-yeah i suppose it would be easier for people here...

nice to hear you can still see the odd red squirrel so decimated but not extinct....
when we walk down our local woods that join up with the cardiff castle grounds...we can see anywhere around 40 to 50 greys this time of year... they are just everywhere...but no reds
and theres me all worried about the environment when its the bird flu i should be quaking with terror about
weather is apparently taking a turn now.. colder today and rain...just waiting now for our predicted freezing winter
i'm sure we brits probably over estimate the use of guns in the usa... but a new hootooer manymom from illinois can hear gunshots all the time.. she is now moving to a more rural area...scary stuff, and what worries me is that britain is fast becoming much more violent, especially the cities...
i don't want to be in the midst of this city when i am old..get the hell out of here, once we're retired and mortgage paid up...

Y'know, come to think of it, I probably was not exactly the kind of person to really be in any sort of position to determine that sort of thing... afterall, I was kind of just hazarding a guess. Suburbs are suburbs I suppose.

Glad your essay went well Thorny where would you like to live ? city,country...
Flakey you are right, it frightens me how much society is changing. When I visit the city to see my sister, I come back so jumpy and edgy ,city life doesn't suit me at all.Am a country girl
Last year two friends moved to Skye and a new life, they nearly convinced me to do the same, but my of my garden held me back.I have spent so much time getting it just right I couldn't bear to leave it just yet.Although if employment had been readily avilable would have really been tempted.

Suburbs are what I'm growing up/have been raised in thus far, I s'ppose they'd seem natural... in their 'unnaturalness'. . Heh.

city life doesn't suit me either wilda... and i'm born and bred city.. maybe i should seek out a remote scottish island to retire to.. but with my luck it would be inhabited by pagans into human sacrifice a la wicker man...
no maybe i should stick with the violent yobs in the city. we often talk of going west... west wales that is, but you'd be surprised how unwelcoming some small communities are.
anyway i went into work in a good mood but my petty team leader really got on my t**s tonight.. she doesn't know my job yet thinks she can tell me how to do it.. and all these stupid time consuming exercises they dream up from nowhere...
i've been doing the job perfectly well for 7 yrs, never had a complaint.. so why change things all the time....ooohhhh i'm mad now
ha ha look i can do the other smileys now.. nothing to hold me back...
