. Thanksgiving? We eat turkey, I think. My relatives that do eat meat. A few of them were on some sort of a smiley - weird 'vegetarian kick' for a few weeks a couple of years back though. I'm not so sure what they do instead. Maybe tofu or something like that,-sculpted into the shape of a turkey? Who knows.

hi all

i believe the usual alternative to turkey for vegetarians is a nut cutlet thing.... so do you have turkey at thanksgiving and then also at xmas?? its only a few weeks apart....must be quite stressful 2 major celebrations with the full works type of meal within a month of each other....

i am a bit humbug about xmas resent spending ridiculous ammounts on it.. so now we don't...i hate the greedy commercialism of it all...bah humbug!!!

best thing about last year was a drive out to the brecon beacons on boxing day and they were covered in thick proper fluffy snowsmiley - biggrin
smiley - llabwons haven't seen snow like that since 1982...

Now, now,- I thought the real meaning of Christmas was that it was another one of those (Eew! smiley - yuk)-mushy holidays,...like Valentine's Day(Even though he was martyred in an evisceral manner. That (still) doesn't make up for it smiley - laugh). smiley - skull
smiley - biggrin

I don't know though... a 'turkey-shaped' giant popsicle might have a hard time being fit into the regular grocery frozen-food aisle...
It would look interesting though, and probably attract some attention.

As I'm sure we are all well aware, Christams is the hijacking of the ancient pagan festival of Saturnalia by the Christians....
Yes, it is too commercialised but think of the presents, food and booze....smiley - drool
