Welcome to Ignu, the wanderer, and The Dirty Vicar. You've all been added to the Membership List.
To put a Musicians Guild graphic on your personal space, go to: http://www.h2g2.com/A434648
Also, please visit the Guild's main page at http://www.h2g2.com/U150368 if you haven't done so already. We've added quite a bit to this page recently, so there are a lot of interesting topics to check out.
Now might be a good point to mention that h2g2 is quite lacking when it comes to articles related to the blues. You can see a list of the entries we are aware of at http://www.h2g2.com/A425161

Well thank you. And if I have anything to do about it, the lack of refrences to the Blues will surely change.

Duiner (Muse, Keeper, Vaca) (suffering from a broken heart :'-( Posted Jan 15, 2001
hello fellow musicians! <oh, for a right here)I play cello and am learning to play guitar (acoustic and electric), I'm also self-studying drums and am trying to learn the hammered dulcimer and lap dulcimer. I sing too (la la laaa! ). I tend to be a bit global in my instrumental tastes (as you can see), so I don't really have a favorite composer as i like a bit of everything. My favorite band is Third Day. I'm going to work on a guide entry cello lesson and one on modern CHR (Christian) music soon if i can find time to write them.

Welcome, Duiner. I think the cello is the perfect instrument for expressing a broken heart, don't you?
It's always nice to have people around with a broad cultural understanding of music. If you do write your cello lesson or Christian music entry sometime, please drop the Guild a note to let us know.

Shorty† (ACE, Keeper, Muse, MuG, Thingite) Posted Jan 20, 2001
I play the flute and the keyboard, and I know 2 chords on the guitar. I like to sing too but I'm not very good at it.
I like most music, except rap and country. But I don't like trying to play Baroque on the flute. I like the composer John Williams, and a few pieces from various more well-known composers (Bach, Beethovan, Mozart, Handel, Hadyn...).
I want to meet other musician people types from the Guild.
Is that it? Did I do it right?

John Williams the film composer or John Williams the classical guitarist, who wrote some sort of jazz stuff and had a group called "Sky"? I have always assumed they are two different people. One English, one American.

Hi
I'd like to join. My entry fee is as follows:
1. I sing tenor (I'm also applying to join the Choral Society)
2. My favourite band is Yes, I also like a lot of classical stuff, particularly if I have sung it, and I like the christian liturgical music produced by the Wild Goose Resource Group.
3. For now, I'd just like to belong, and to see what's going on.
Thanks and

Hi - my name is Elly, I'm an alto and a lousy guitar player (why not admit it strait ahead?)
I love The Beatles, Simon&Garfunkel, Suzanne Vega, Bob dilan, Robie Williams and Mozart.
I'd like to know when and where are the choir rehersals, and people's gender, for heaven's sake, noone except Ottox have a Gender here!! (oh, and Zis Guy).
I'd love to volunteer - just tell me when and where!
