Calling all guitarists....

Darn, you beat me to it! That was one of the first songs I learnt to play, along with 'All I have to do is dream', which I *think* has only three chords.

I was just kidding, mate. I guess I'll have to come up with another song... hey, don't 'Heart & Soul' and 'Blue Moon' have exactly the same chords as 'Stand by Me'? They do! They do!

Could do...
Or you could list all the information you have right now, then have to majorly rearrange it and change the GuideML several times, then realise that everyone has forgotten your project and that you've got nowhere near enough information
Just a warning - don't do an Alex...

I've started adding the songs and crediting people, have had a go at the chord diagrams as suggested but they don't look right - any suggestions? Any passing subs?
While I'm here, can I respectfully ask you guys to avoid chatting on the thread? I know I sound like a grumpy old man but it makes it a lot harder to find the nuggets of information! Ta muchly...

I've tried a couple of chord diagrams using TABLEs at A4067453 - if you like them you can copy the GuideML from <./>test4067453</.>

Hi
I think this is a great idea.
Have another song to suggest:
Handle with care by travelling wilburys is a good one:
Intro: DCG
Verse uses DCG and then CG and Em
the only bugbear is at roy orbison's bit in in the chorus, which has B7 in it. It goes G B7 C D
The 'everybody's got somebody to lean on' bit is juust C and G and C and D on the last line.
Hope that is another to add to the list. I think including capoed songs would be good too. As a person who hates bar chords, using a capo has been really helpful.

I'm pretty sure that Free Fallin' is only a few chords

yep. I know that one as well! Stick a capo on 3rd fret play:
D G5 G5 D A.
it just goes round and round that one! It's all in the bassline I think really.
I play G5 like this:
e|--3-
b|--3-
g|--0-
D|--0-
A|----
E|----
Good old Tom Petty

> "What happened there with the links?"
G-numbers are designations for groups/clubs over on the actionnetwork (old ican) dna sub-site. Hence they are automatically turned into links - just not very well! Contrast with:

How many songs use an EDA riff? Also try DAmCG for sheer pleasure

I found that the best things for a beginner to learn are songs they really love (that is prob why they took it up) and if they are hard that could be good for them or they may get discouraged and quit.
Key: Complain about this post
